One thing I love about writing is the more I write, the more ideas I get. At the same time, I have such a hard time choosing which idea comes next. Sometimes it’s not as easy as just letting the character who’s nonstop pushing his/her story in my head go first. Sometimes they might not be ready, even if I think they are. Hell, even if they think they are. I’ve been letting one of my ideas sit for a few weeks while I finished finals and got the short stories for this month done, knowing that I’d start Prowl by the end of the month and use SoCNoC to finish it off. I was excited, the main character is in my head… but every time I tried to bring the story into picture it all fell away. The world, the main character, her problems… everything just felt gauzy.
